Lucy Luna is a writer born and raised in Morelia, Mexico. 

With a natural passion for storytelling, Lucy moved to Los Angeles to study and pursue screenwriting. Her first spec script, Sophie & Valentina, launched her career, winning the HBOAccess Writing Fellowship, the ScreenCraft Fellowship, and placing on the Young & Hungry List. Sophie & Valentina is currently being produced by Arcus Sudios, with Cristina Gallego attached to direct and Ruth Negga attached to star.

Her second spec script, the detective thriller She Stole My Son’s Heart, sold to Lifetime and was released this summer!

Lucy’s penned horror features for Sony and Paramount, as well as TV Shows for CW, CBS and OWN. She’s now preparing to direct her first feature in Mexico: Quédate, mamá.

As a theme and character-driven writer, Lucy focuses primarily on the thriller, horror, crime, and drama genres, fueled by her obsession with exploring how fear and love shape people.

On a more personal note, Lucy is a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Practitioner. She’s a plant and cat lover. She loves cooking, reading, and working out!
